We obtain the new suggested list prices displayed below by using the current 2008-2009 price supplement to "The Piano Book" by Larry Fine. The suggested list price is negotiable at most piano stores and the "list price" should be used as only a starting point when shopping for a piano. "The Piano Book" by Larry Fine is well written and a handy item to carry around when shopping for your new or good used piano. He is a piano technician as well as a pianist who is unbiased and fair in his opinions. He rates pianos based on data from a number of reliable sources including field piano technicians from across the country that have first hand, day to day experience servicing all models of pianos currently on the market. It is a great read.
You can purchase this excellent book and current price supplement on LARRY FINE'S WEBSITE or at any major bookstore in the U.S.A.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions by e-mailing us at rjpianos@yahoo.com or by calling us toll free at 800-466-2198 or locally at 301-937-4900. #23G 1991 Kawai Model CA-40 6' 1" grand Beautiful polished ebony finish with matching bench. |
No video demo played over scrawny computer speakers can do justice to pianos that sound this good. The action is telepathically sensitive and responsive, and the tone is buttery smooth. This model is the immediate predecessor to the present-day RX-3. We have spoken to many people who still prefer Kawai's CA (Concert Artist) series to the present-day RX series, and were sorry to see it discontinued. It's easy to understand why once you experience the spine-tingling richness and complex voice of this formidable instrument, not least of all in the meaty muscular bass. Sure, you could go out and spend over $18,000 more for a new Kawai RX-3. The question is, why would you? Click below for expandable photos of the piano up close. |

#24G 1976 Yamaha Model G-3 6' 1" grand Beautiful polished ebony finish with matching bench. |
If you come to our warehouse, one of the first things you may notice is that we don't spend our money on fancy decor (or fancy clothes for that matter). However, MANY people walk in and mistake our used Yamaha and Kawai grands for new pianos. That's because we spend our money on excellent quality used pianos and outstanding reconditioning work. This beautiful Yamaha G-3 is a perfect example. The fancy pants new piano stores hope you never find out about us. Can you blame them? We understand their frustration. It cant be easy selling expensive new pianos to people who have done their homework like you are doing right now. You can shop all over the country and you wont find so much piano value concentrated under one roof as we have here. Thats a fact. Click below for expandable photos of the piano up close. |
